The Method Behind the Name

Media Blasting That Leaves the Surface Alone

The calcium is brittle. The tile is not. Blasting works because it separates the two.

Kevin founded this company as Miracle Blasting, and this is the work that built it. Homeowners kept being told their only options were living with the scale or paying to have the tile ripped out and replaced. Neither was true — the mineral just needed a method that could take it off without taking the glaze with it.

Bead blasting does that. Rounded soft media travels at a pressure high enough to shatter calcium and low enough to leave ceramic, glass, pebble and stone untouched. Because we run it wet, the dust stays down, and because the media is contained, your deck and plants are not left buried in grit.

  • Heavy calcium deposits
  • Natural rock and boulders
  • Pebble and quartz finishes
  • Flagstone coping
  • Fountains and water features
  • Block wall and concrete
  • Dustless wet blasting
  • Contained media cleanup

Blasting Result

Heavy Scale Taken Off Spa Tile

A raised spa wall in the West Valley, photographed before we started and after we finished.

Before

After

The chalky sections along the top of the wall were mineral, not worn tile. Blasting took it back to the original glaze in one visit.

Why Other Methods Fail

Removal Methods That Damage What They Clean

This is the damage we get called out to look at after somebody else has had a go.

  1. Silica Sandblasting

Cuts straight through glaze and leaves tile permanently dull and porous.

  2. Grinding Wheels

Takes the calcium and a layer of the tile face with it, every pass.

  3. Strong Acid Washes

Burns grout out of the joints and clouds plaster well below the waterline.

  4. Dry Blasting on a Tight Lot

Sends dust over fences and into filters, pumps and neighbours' yards.

  5. Repeat DIY Attempts

Months of scrubbing that polishes the deposit smooth instead of removing it.

Job Flow

What a Blasting Day Looks Like

Set up, test patch, blast, clean up — most pools inside a day.

  1. Test a Small Patch

We blast a hidden section first so you can approve the result before we continue.

  2. Protect the Surroundings

Deck, plants, equipment and light niches get covered before any media flies.

  3. Work the Whole Line

Steady passes around the pool, plus rock, spillways and features that need it.

  4. Collect the Media

Spent media is swept and removed so your deck is clean when we drive away.

Surfaces We Blast

Where Media Blasting Earns Its Keep

Six surfaces around a West Valley property where blasting is the only sensible option.

Artificial Rock Grottos

Waterfall faces and slide rock hold scale that no brush can reach into.

Pebble Tec Waterlines

Aggregate finishes trap mineral between stones where chemicals do nothing.

Block Walls and Concrete

Paint, overspray and staining lifted off masonry without gouging the surface.

Fountains and Features

Constantly wet stonework scales heavily and cleans up dramatically.

Flagstone Coping

Natural stone edges cleaned without the pitting a pressure washer leaves.

Gates and Metalwork

Old finish stripped back on iron gates and railings ahead of repainting.

Blasting Reviews

Customers on the Calcium Work

"These guys are the BEST! I have a pool that had developed calcium on the tiles. I had read about several methods to clean the calcium off but they all had risks involved, like scratching and fading. I called up Kevin with Miracle Blasting LLC and he explained how his process worked. It sounded like he really knew his stuff. He came out right away and got to work. He even went the extra mile and put a sealant on my tiles to help prevent future build-ups. He got my tile looking new... for NO EXTRA COST! I seriously can't believe the difference! If your looking for a professional company you can trust, that has better than reasonable pricing, THIS IS IT!"

"We are so happy we were given the contact information for Miracle Blasting! We had really bad calcium buildup on our pool tile and the grotto rock. Brian came out and efficiently removed the calcium! He was courteous and clean! Thank you so much!!! Highly recommend!"

About the Process

Bead Blasting Questions Homeowners Ask

Sandblasting fires hard silica at high pressure, which cuts into whatever it hits. Bead blasting uses soft, rounded media at much lower pressure, so it breaks brittle calcium loose while the surface underneath stays intact. On pool tile that difference is everything.
